Date overrides
Overrides handle everything that isn’t a normal week: holidays, a conference, a Saturday you’re making an exception for.- Day off. Closes a date completely, whatever your weekly schedule says.
- Available. Opens specific hours on a date, including days you don’t normally work.
Buffer times
Buffers keep time free either side of a booking, so meetings never run back-to-back. Set Before a booking and After a booking and Tikk applies them everywhere. With a 15-minute buffer after, a call ending at 10:00 makes 10:15 the next bookable slot. The buffer isn’t visible to anyone booking you. Those slots simply aren’t offered. Individual services can override this: a service editor’s Availability section can set its own buffers or fall back to your default. Useful when a 15-minute check-in needs no recovery time but a 90-minute workshop needs twenty minutes to clear the room.Buffer times are a Pro feature.
Per-service availability
Beyond buffers, a service can carry its own date overrides. Open the service and add them there when the exception applies to one offering rather than your whole week, say a workshop that only runs on the first Monday of the month.Minimum notice
Tikk never offers a slot starting within the next 15 minutes. It’s fixed and applies to everyone, so nobody books you for something starting before you’ve read the email. How these layers combine, including your connected calendars, is explained in
Availability.
